PHILOSOPHY : Static fundamentals such as the grip, stance, ball position, alignment, posture and balance have a direct influence toward the development of the golf swing; therefore if you do not have sound fundamentals you will inhibit your ability to produce a geometrically on plane motion and, in turn, create compensations.
BACKGROUND : Secured a scholarship and played on the golf team at David Lipscomb University (NCAA Division 1) in Nashville Tennessee, was inspired by my late aunt Patricia Hodgson and receive tremendous support from my ‘better half’ Sheron Lau
FUTURE : I currently operate my own business (Michael Crane Golf – www.michaelcranegolf.com ) and I absolutely love what I do! The Academy operates out of Lionhead Golf & Country Club and offers Junior Programs, Ladies Programs, Golf Schools, Private and Group lessons. Working with people’s swings, helping them get better and just the simple interaction with my students are very rewarding. Operating my academy also allows me to spend a lot of time with my son and mentoring the development of his game which I wouldn’t give up for the world. I also operate another company known as Corporate Swings (www.corporateswings.com ) which offers companies swing analysis services for their golf tournaments, trade shows or corporate functions

MOST MEMORABLE ROUND OF GOLF : October 14, 2007 at Lionhead Golf & Country Club playing the Masters when my 8 year old son Damon Crane hit a 9 iron 118 yards and made an ace on Hole # 11 and we both went on to shoot an even par 72

THE GOLF SWING IS … a complex motion (similar to the human DNA) in that everything is interconnected and each one is unique; but as a golf instructor if you understand the inter-connectivity that each change may have toward other areas of the swing you can seriously help everyone become better and achieve a motion that is actually easy to perform.
