Trick or Tweet

Nike’s Paul Casey has posted a few images up on his Twitter account of what appears to be a new VR Family Driver from Nike Golf.  Snaps were taken while he was visiting ‘The Oven’ (Nike’s testing facility in Texas).

Nike VR DriverTemporary (or we could say massive) lapse in judgement or a cleverly concocted ‘new’ social / viral marketing prank? Either way here’s the evidence …

Can’t say we’re big followers of the Twitter phenomena but suffice to say that tweets, as with any media fad, will become commonplace for product info / launches in the near future.  We can understand fashion and or paparazzi style products being bantered around the social cyberspace but do we really want to be finding out about replaceable wedge face-plate technology on Facebook?

Although, I would like to see those marketing buzz word heavy gurus try to encapsulate the techno behind their 2010 product lineups in 140 characters or less.
