Fall will soon be out in Full Colour

The Fall Magazine is on it’s way and one of the country’s finest, Jennifer Kirby, graces the cover. The Paris, Ontario native is most likely cramming for a test right now, as a freshman at the University of Alabama, but she certainly left the entire Canadian golfing world with a little additional on-course education this summer. (Yes, we can say it – she ‘schooled’ everybody).  In the Magazine we have a brief interview (courtesy of Terry Lenyk) with Jennifer from the CN Canadian Women’s Open and we’re working on getting some audio up on the web.  You will also find a very nice article about ‘Jenny’ and how hard work gets rewarded written by her Coach Sean Foley.

Fall 2009

Within the pages you will also find our 2009 Season in Review pictorial (complete with captions of course). We also have a look at a few of the new products that will be available soon in our SNEAK PEEKS section. The Notebook is full of the usual scribbles as well as an interesting conversation with Canadian Tour Order of Merit leader Graham DeLaet.  The Calgary native is having a breakout season and is one of Canada’s bright lights on the professional side of the ball.

There are also new tips from the Mythbusters as well as a pro tip on IMPACT – ‘the key to consistency’.  The Canadian Tour experienced some of the most diabolical greens imaginable when they punched in at Greystone this summer and Clublink’s Reggie Millage (who finished T18) will pass along a little advice on How to Handle Fast Greens.

Amiable pro Leslie Painter of the Mississaugua Golf & Country Club is the focus of our CPGA PROfile.  It’s nice to get a little perspective from the ladies. Our exemption into the Seaforth Country Classic is over and it was a demoralizing fantastic experience.  Check out all of the posts [HERE]

AND if you’re wondering where the national hardware is, we’ll tell you that too, AND Skip stops in to  Turtle Creek for a places to play feature AND The Big Easy, Ernie Els was in town, along with J.J. Henry at the 3rd Annual Golf Town Invitational held at the Magna Golf Club ans should you ever want a lesson in tempo (or maybe get your baby to fall asleep) watch Ernie’s swing – it’s a lesson in effortless power AND our Callaway Contest winners were announce AND a touchy rule, Tiger’s text message, a few more gimmees, all of our regular columnists and more …

Fall is a great time to play … see you on the course.

Hi Norm .. can you tell me how I get a copy of “GolfScene” mag? ..

    Thanks,
    Dave Tracey

    • Norm Woods says:

Dave, the magazines are distributed through golf courses. The Fall mag should be out later this week. What courses do you frequent?
By the way, they also get picked up very quickly. If you can’t find one, let me know and I will mail you a copy. It’s nice to be popular but we also know there are readers who can’t find a copy. Maybe someday we will be able to print, and distribute more.
