My Exemption

The good folks at the Seaforth Golf Club have ‘generously’ provided us with an exemption into this year’s Seaforth Country Classic. So it was decided that I would play in the event and chat a little bit along the way on the things I am doing to get prepared.

Exemption PassDo I have a chance? Nope. In fact, I probably have better odds of being hit by an errant Tiger Woods tee shot at the Canadian Open if you can understand how long those odds actually are.

Do I want to embarrass myself? Nope. So I will begin to use the resources at hand and see just how quickly I can improve and just what actions I can take to make that happen.

And in doing so I will document my steps, my progress, my questions, and the answers all the way up until August 24th when the tournament begins. After which I will let you know just how tough, and I think I have a pretty good idea already, playing in a Professional Tour event actually is. Hopefully I’ll have a few good stories, visceral anecdotes, and inside the ropes type banter from the week to pass along as well.

Should be interesting. I’m up for the challenge of getting better (as are most of you if you’re reading a golf magazine), so let’s see what we can do to improve.
