GolfScene Magazine Contributors Receive Awards

At the recent Golf Journalists Association annual awards presentation, GolfScene Magazine contributors were in the limelight with two awards, one in the Magazine Profile section and another in the Photography section.
Terry Lenyk of the media department at Golf Canada and an occasional contributor to GolfScene submitted a story entitled Inside the Ropes with RBC Canadian Open Tournament Director, Bill Paul. Lenyk’s story, which appeared in our summer 2009 issue, won second place in the voting under the Profile – Newspaper or Magazine category.
Brent Long, also a freelance contributor to GolfScene over the years, submitted a photo of Matt Hill and Nick Taylor, two of Canada’s top amateurs at the time. Long’s photo (which appeared on page 5 of the 2009 summer magazine – see below) also took second in the photography category.
Congratulations to Terry and Brent from all of us at GolfScene and as well to all the other award winners.

Brent's timely editorial photo was taken while Nick & Matt were the #1 and #2 ranked amateurs in the world.
