2010 Canadian Open – There’s a Map for that

If you’re planning on heading down to this year’s Canadian Open (and we hope that you are) here are a few tips and map to help with getting you both to and around the St George’s Golf Course.

2010 Canadian Open Map

Getting There:

  • By Car: Public parking is in lot W which is located at the Woodbine Race Track.  Woodbine is located off of Rexdale Blvd between Highway 427 and 27.  Cost is $10 – shuttle is free. (note: if you’re driving a BMW the parking is also complimentary)
  • By Transit: Nearest subway access is Islington station.  From there, you will find bus service which will take you the rest of the way.
  • By Taxi: Taxi service may drop off and pick up at Richview Collegiate.
  • By Bike: The environmentally friendly option gets you access to a secure area at Princess Anne Park (off of Princess Margaret Blvd).

Once you there, you can check out the festivities on Islington  Avenue (closed to traffic for the event) or wander onto the Stanley Thompson designed St George’s Golf Course.  Built in 1929, the course has held 4 previous Canadian Open championships and is widely regarded as one of the top 100 courses in the world.
