RBC and the Royal Canadian Golf Association have teamed-up to present the 2008 RBC Canadian Open, being held July 21-27 at the Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville.


As the week’s golf events unfold and another chapter in Canadian golf lore is written, golf fans across Canada will take note that this isn’t your ordinary PGA TOUR event.


This year’s inaugural RBC Canadian Open is much more than just four rounds of golf – it’s truly a week-long celebration of golf in this country


To make the most of RBC Canadian Open week, we thought it best to compile a list of 10 things you might just want to check out when heading to Glen Abbey.


10 BMW Shuttle: Drive a BMW? We’ll you’re in luck. BMW is offering preferred parking and shuttling for BMW owners from the main parking lot to Glen Abbey Golf Club. BMW will also display some of their exciting new products onsite throughout tournament week.


9 RBC Shoot-Out: Join RBC at Polson Pier in the Toronto Harbourfront and attempt a 150 yard shot onto a floating green. Special guest appearances, prizes and gifts promise to make this an unforgettable time for the entire family.


8 Avion Long Drive: Visit the 16th hole at Glen Abbey Golf Club from Thursday to Sunday for the opportunity to sign-up and guess the length of your favourite golfers drive. With daily prizes for all, you’ll want to try every day.

3 Pengrowth Concert Series – For the first time in Canadian Open history Pengrowth will host three concerts in three nights. Each night the golf course will transform into a unique open-air concert venue, designed specifically for the RBC Canadian Open.
